Cardinals and SMASH
Happy New Year!!! Better late than never, I guess! It has been a loooooooooooong time since I have posted but now that the holidays are over, hopefully I can get back to some scrapbooking and coloring with my Copics. I had a CRAZY idea last year to attempt to make my own Christmas cards...yeah right. When I realized that was a little over my head, I decided I was going to make special cards for my mom, my aunt Pookie, aunt Frannie, and uncle Anthony using a great cardinal digital image I got from Designed2Delight. The cardinal is very special to my family and I was reallying hoping I could make something great. I used kraft paper and my Copics...they didn't turn out exactly how I had hoped so...I got NO handmade cards done or sent...another year perhaps.
My Christmas wasn't a total bust tho!! I got my very first SMASH book and some cool stuff to go with it...can't wait to start filling it up with lots of fun things! If you haven't heard of or checked out any of the SMASH books...DO IT!! So fun!

Just Ducky!
Here he is...the first image for Michelle Houghton's Copic Coloring 2 "class" over at Get it Scrapped! I really had fun with this little guy...the reflection went better than I thought it would. Can't wait to get busy on image #2, which is a really cute digital stamp from Jellypark! I'll try and get that one colored and up this weekend. Thanks again Michelle for all your hard work!

Yabba Dabba Do!
Well, this post has NOTHING to do with scrapbooking, but I absolutely love this picture and the fun I was having when it was taken. My son is a WEBELO in Scouts. This past weekend, our den went to Neil Smith Prairie Learning Center for a program and then camping. Our den leader, Lorie is so much fun! While we were waiting for the program to start, Lorie and I saw these buffalo hats in the gift shop and they reminded me of the "The Flintstones" and the Grand Poobah hats Fred wore...of course we HAD to put them on. Thank you "Betty" for the laughs...you (and your socks) ROCK!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I got this WAY cute little girl from Mo's Digital Pencil and I just love her! I had a heck of a time with her hair and I still have a ways to go getting my blending down, but I think she turned out pretty good. I really enjoy using my Copic markers and am looking forward to Michelle Houghton's next on-line Copic coloring class over at Get It Scrapped. Hope you enjoy this cutie as much as I do!

Foto-Friday with By LORi Designs
My son LOVES to go fishing with his grandpa (aka "D"). One day, my son caught this big ol' bass from the pond behind my parents house. He was pretty proud of it and he HAD to put this picture up at the local sporting goods/hunting store!

I love Copic!
Ok, so I just happen to know this REALLY neat lady by the name of Michelle Houghton, yeah, that lady! ;) Anyhoo, Michelle surprised all of us at Copic Club with these really cute cups which we got to color with our Copics and new found skills. The night Michelle gave us our cups was the night she taught us how to use the Copic Airbrush system. I made the clouds on my cup with the airbrush, I need some practice but it was a lot of fun! Thank you again Michelle! You ROCK!!!! By the way...in case any one would like to check it out...Michelle is getting ready to start another Copic coloring "class" on line over at Get It Scrapped! The first class was a blast and I am looking forward to part 2!
